Pedro Falcão

LE CORBUSIER 2, 2003

Le Corbusier was known for combining the functionality of modern design with bold sculptural expression. The work of Pedro Falcão, tribute to the Swiss architect, explores both those tendencies by suggesting an architectural outline that emphasizes the sculptural feature and by recurring to the economic use of color that characterizes modern design. This tribute is confronted with the artist's choice for the use of contemporary techniques such as graphic investigation, made possible by computer resources.
