Gonçalo Lobo

UNTITLED, 2005

The work presented by Gonçalo Lobo belongs to an ensemble of seven prints that share a common ground of rectilinear shapes and a reduced and absolute use of colours. The artist proposes a series of combinations of limited number of shapes and colors, from which arises an idea ofboth serialization and randomness, whilst simultaneously rigidity and sturdiness. The work recaptures the minimalist tendencies and precludes any extra visual association, emphasizing the bi-dimensionality of the work.
