Maria Condado

PLAYGROUND LOVE, 2005

Playground Love belongs to a series of works in which Maria Condado explores the threshold landscapes of cities. Areas that constitute themselves as transitional zones and that long to have the best of both worlds: the greatness and anonymity of the city and the isolation and the privileged relation with nature in the country. They are strange and hybrid spaces, real but with a theatrical or artificial appearance. The consequences being the conversion of these spaces into neutral locations that constantly suggest abandonment.
